Effect of the chlorhexidine:hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion compound on in vitro slabs of bovine dentine has been investigated. Chlorhexidine is a cationic surfactant with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. It is used as a disinfectant in periodontal therapy and surgical scrubs.
