Product Details

EZ1 cards are preprogrammed with protocols for purification of DNA using the BioRobot EZ1. These protocols provide both on-screen instructions for the user and operating commands for the BioRobot EZ1 workstation. Cards are also available for RNA purification ( EZ1 RNA Card ), for in vitro diagnostics, and for evaluation of the pipetting accuracy of the BioRobot EZ1.

Principle

EZ1 Cards specify a choice of purification protocols without any manual data entry.

Procedure

Simply insert the EZ1 Card with the desired protocol into the EZ1 Card slot and start the workstation. Further EZ1 Cards may be purchased at any time - increasing the application range of the BioRobot EZ1.

Applications

In combination with the EZ1 Virus Card and the BioRobot EZ1 workstation, the EZ1 Virus Mini Kit v2.0 provides a fully automated procedure for simultaneous purification of viral DNA and RNA from serum and plasma for highly sensitive detection in downstream assays. Purified viral DNA and RNA is compatible with a large number of downstream quantitative, real-time PCR assays and thermal cyclers, allowing accurate quantification of a wide range of viral nucleic acids (see table "Viral nucleic acid assays tested with the EZ1 Virus Mini Kit v2.0").
