How Should I Store µBondapack C18 Columns? If a column is left unused for four days or less, no special storage procedures are required. For longer periods, the column should be stored in methanol.
If the mobile phase contains a buffer salt, the column must first be slushed with 10 column volumes of 19 megohm water. Ensure that end plugs are firmly in place and that the column is never at risk of drying out.
