Product Description
SunFire C8 columns are used for general purpose method development at low pH. The C8 ligand is preferred for some assays because it is less hydrophobic and therefore less retentive compared to SunFire C18.

Additional Information
SunFire C8 Column, 100Å, 3.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 150 mm, 1/pk Compared to many traditional silica-based HPLC columns, the SunFire C8 Column exhibits increased column lifetime by offering low pH stability. The SunFire C8 Column provides high efficiency and greater sensitivity as it combines proprietary, state-of-the-art silica synthesis, bonding, end-capping, and packing technologies. Use the SunFire C8 Column across a range of mass spectrometry applications. The lab equipment is ideally suited to provide you sharp peaks, outstanding sensitivity, high peak capacity, and ultra-low bleed. In addition to this, you will save analysis time as well as costs as the SunFire C8 Column supplies excellent resolution, low back pressure, and speed. You can depend on the SunFire C8 Column to provide the same chromatographic results over the whole lifetime of the column, life of the method, and your new product. This is because the analytical column has been designed for the establishment of new analytical methods for the latest pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products. The SunFire C8 Column will exhibit the same superior reproducibility from year-to-year, batch-to-batch, and column-to-column. The SunFire C8 Column is manufactured using high purity raw materials under tightly controlled conditions and packing procedures to ensure only quality lab equipment is added to your laboratory. You may also be interested in the SunFire C8 VanGuard Cartridge, 100Å, 3.5 µm, 3.9 mm X 5 mm, 3/pk . Used in conjunction with your analytical column, the VanGuard Cartridge is used to protect your column and extend its lifetime. This is achieved by removing all chemical and particulate contaminants from the mobile phase and makes your analysis accurate, precise, and reliable every time.
FAQ
How Should SunFire C8 Column Be Stored? The SunFire C8 Column should be stirred at room temperature in 100% acetonitrile for periods longer than four days. In applications where temperature is elevated, store in 100% acetonitrile immediately after use to ensure that the column lasts a long time. Buffered eluents should be avoided for the storage of the column. However, if a buffer salt was included in the mobile phase, flush the column with 10 column volumes of HPLC grade water and replace with 100% acetonitrile for storage.
