• Maintains sensitivity by keeping large particles as close as possible to the surface.
• Attach proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates or small molecules.
• Couple to carboxyl groups on the sensor surface via -NH2, -SH, -CHO, -OH or -COOH.
Matrix The shorter dextran chains of the CM3 allows the interaction to take place closer to the surface which can improve sensitivity when working with large molecules, molecular complexes, viruses or whole cells.

Series S sensor chips are for use with Biacore 1 series, Biacore 8 series, Biacore S200, Biacore T200, and Biacore 4000 SPR systems. Sensor chips not designated with Series S are designed for Biacore X100 and Biacore C SPR systems.
