The siRNA LC-MS standard is a lyophilized, 1 nmole quantity of a mixture of annealed 25-mer and 27-mer RNA strands. The components of this standard are chemically synthesized and confirmed by LC analysis to be present in reproducible quantities. Moreover, this siRNA molecule does not recognize any sequences within the human, mouse, or rat transcriptome, so there are no safety implications beyond those that must be generically considered when handling a chemically synthesized oligonucleotide. This unique standard is to be used as a performance check and potential system suitability standard for LC-UV and LC-MS analyses, as performed with IP-RPLC, HILIC, SEC or IEX separations.
