Torque Wrench for closing the Sartocon® 2 Plus holders.

The Sartocon® 2 Plus holder is part of a modular micro- and ultrafiltration system and fits up to ten Sartocon® filter cassettes. A maximum filter area of 7 m² allows to process volumes of 30 to 1000 l. It is designed for process development and pilot scale production in pharmaceutical and biotechnology crossflow applications. Easy handling design and high quality materials make this the perfect tool. The Sartocon® filter cassettes are placed between the filter plate and the the clamping plate without a need for additional gaskets. It is not even necessary to remove the clamping plate for installation of the cassettes. Just place the cassettes on the guide rods and close the holder by turning two nuts with a torque wrench. This vertical positioning of the cassettes allows self draining of retentate and permeate channels during harvesting and steaming. Thermal sterilisation in an autoclave or steaming in place even with cassettes installed is possible. For this purpose the installation of a pressure compensation tool is necessary. Filter plate and sanitary flanges are made out of one single piece of steel. The whole holder is designed without a weld. This ensures a perfect fit of additional equipment ilke manifolds and valves.
