One Shot™ MAX Efficiency™ DH10B T1 Phage-Resistant Cells One Shot MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 Phage-ResistantE. colihave all the benefits of the DH10B genotype, with the addition of thetonA (also known asfhuA) genotype for resistance to T1 and T5 phage infection. The inclusion of thetonA genotype offers added security to protect valuable clones and libraries. MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 cells can achieve high transformation efficiency of >1 x 109 cfu/μg supercoiled plasmid, making them ideal for generating cDNA or genomic libraries, transforming large plasmids (>150 kb in size), and for situations when DNA is limiting.
MAX Efficiency DH10B T1 Phage-Resistant Cells carry mutations in the methylation-dependent restriction system (mcrA,mcrBC, andmrr), allowing construction of genomic libraries of both prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomic DNA, as well as efficient plasmid rescue from eukaryotic genomes. This strain also has thelacZΔM15 genotype, providing the option of blue-white screening on plates containing either X-Gal or Bluo-Gal. Finally, theendA1 mutation makes DH10B-T1R cells an excellent vehicle for amplifying plasmid DNA for subsequent extraction and purification.
