TaqMan™ GAPDH Control Reagents (human) The Applied Biosystems™ TaqMan™ GAPDH Control Reagents kit provides components for using human GAPDH as a normalization control in your real-time PCR reactions. The kit includes human control RNA, GAPDH TaqMan™ probe (JOE™ dye-labeled probe), and GAPDH primers. You can use either DNA or RNA as a target template.

Many traditional variables, such as magnesium chloride concentration and the thermal cycling protocol itself, have been standardized, greatly reducing assay development time.
Normalization Built-InAll Applied Biosystems™ Real-Time PCR reagent kits contain a passive internal reference to normalize non-PCR related fluorescence fluctuations. Normalizing with a passive internal reference minimizes well-to-well variability that can result from a variety of causes, such as pipetting errors and sample evaporation. The passive reference is also essential for accurate results when multiple probes (with different reporter dyes) are combined in a single tube.
Notes on UseThe TaqMan™ GAPDH Control Reagents can be used with TaqMan™ Universal PCR Master Mix or TaqMan™ PCR Core Reagents for polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
The TaqMan™ GAPDH Control Reagents can be used with the TaqMan™ One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix Reagents, TaqMan™ EZ RT-PCR Core Reagents, or the TaqMan™ Gold RT-PCR Reagents for one-step reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
