Dichloran-Glycerol 18% (DG18) (ISO) Agar Base (Dehydrated) Isolate and enumerate yeasts and molds associated with food spoilage with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Dichloran-Glycerol 18% (DG18) (ISO) Agar Base while adhering to BS ISO 21527-2:2008. The medium contains Dichloran which inhibits spreading of mucoraceous fungi and restricts the colony size of the genera. This restrictive characteristic makes the medium especially suitable for enumeration because it allows the growth of background organisms, which form only small colonies, not obscuring mold or yeast identification and enumeration.
