Product Description
2'-Deoxyguanosine monohydrate, 98+% Deoxyguanosine (dG) is a purine nucleoside that upon sequential phosphoylation (kinases) forms dGTP which is used by DNA polymerases and reverse transcriptases to synthesis DNA(s). Deoxyguanosine is the most electron rich of the four canonical bases and includes many nucleophilic sites which are susceptible to oxidative damage. This makes deoxyguanosine and its oxidized derivatives useful reagents to study mechanisms of oxidative damage to nucleosides and nucleotides. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals. CAS: 961-07-9
