Recommended Assay Procedures: Recommended Assay Procedures This antibody is useful as a standard in ELISA and as an isotype-matched negative control for immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. An isotype control should be used at the same concentration as the antibody of interest. For immunohistochemical staining we recommend the use of purified R3-34 mAb in our special formulation for immunohistochemistry (Cat. No. 559072). Caution: Sodium azide is a reversible inhibitor of oxidative metabolism; therefore, antibody preparations containing this preservative agent must not be used in cell cultures nor injected into animals. Sodium azide may be removed by washing stained cells or plate-bound antibody or dialyzing soluble antibody in sodium azide-free buffer. Since endotoxin may also afffect the results of functional studies, we recommend the NA/LE™ (No Azide/Low Endotoxin) antibody format (553921, 554682) of the R3-34 clone for in vitro and in vivo use.
