Product Description

ACQUITY CSH C18 columns were designed to provide alternate selectivity compared to other reversed-phase UPLC columns. These ultra-efficient columns overcome peak shape asymmetry and poor loading capacity for basic compounds, column bleed, and rapid mobile-phase re-equilibration.

FAQ
What pH range and temperature are recommended for use with the ACQUITY CSH columns? Though designed for a greater lifetime, the column’s lifespan will vary and depend on factors such as the type and concentration of buffer used, and the operating temperature. The use of phosphate buffer at pH 8, combined with higher temperatures will diminish the column’s life. As a general indication, the CSH columns are suited for the analysis of materials with a pH range between 1 and 11.

Up to 80° Celsius temperature is recommended for operating ACQUITY CSH columns in order to enhance selectivity, increase mass transfer rates and lower solvent viscosity. However, when operating at higher pH, lower temperature (45 degrees celsius) is recommended to ensure a longer column lifetime. What is BEH Technology? An instrumental catalyst in UPLC technology, the 1.7 µm BEH (Ethylene Bridged Hybrid) particle serves as a pivotal component, offering diverse pore sizes and bonded phases that facilitate both reversed-phase and hydrophilic interaction chromatography. This cutting-edge technology finds application across a broad spectrum, encompassing the analysis of small molecules as well as large molecule biopharmaceuticals.

Hybrid particle technology has intrinsic chemical stability, allowing for a wider usable pH range [pH 1-12]. This also enables a versatile, robust separation technology for method development.
The BEH particle technology is available in a variety of HPLC particle sizes [2.5, 3.5, 5, and 10 µm] which allows for a seamless transition between HPLC and UPLC technology platforms.
