The Ambr® 250 Modular Vessels feature pre-assembled media and feed reservoirs with feed lines, integrated single-use sensors and different impeller configurations to suit microbial and mammalian processes, including more shear sensitive cell lines.

The Ambr® 250 Modular Vessels are engineered to support a wide range of bioprocess development applications, offering specialized designs for both mammalian and microbial cultures.
These vessels are available in single-use formats with working volumes ranging from 100 to 250 mL, making them ideal for small-scale bioprocess development and optimization.
Three different vessel types are available equipped with standard impeller configurations to ensure optimal mixing and aeration tailored to specific biological processes. The mammalian vessel features dual pitch-blade impellers and baffles, ideal for cell culture, while the microbial vessel utilizes dual Rushton type impellers with baffles for efficient fermentation. For sensitive applications, the low-shear vessel incorporates a single ‘elephant ear’ impeller without baffles, providing gentle mixing.
Integrated sensors for dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH are included in each vessel, enabling real-time monitoring and precise control of critical bioprocess parameters. The vessels are supplied sterile, being irradiated and individually wrapped to ensure sterility upon delivery.
They are geometrically similar to larger bioreactors, facilitating straightforward scale-up from research to production processes. The vessels also feature integrated gas inlet filters, sparge and headspace gassing options, and multiple liquid reservoirs, enhancing their versatility and functionality.
