Rab20 also known as Ras-related protein Rab-20 is a small GTPase belonging to the Rab protein family. Rab20 has a molecular mass of approximately 25 kDa. It is expressed across a variety of tissues with notable presence in the kidney placenta and heart. Rab20's mechanical role involves the regulation of vesicular trafficking operating as a molecular switch by cycling between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state.

Rab20 regulates intracellular membrane transport processes. It is involved in endocytic and exocytic transport pathways by controlling vesicle formation movement and fusion. Rab20 participates in the recycling of endosomes contributing to the homeostasis of cellular components.
