RAB22A also known as ras-related protein Rab-22A is a small GTPase with a molecular mass of approximately 21 kDa. It belongs to the Rab family of proteins that are involved in vesicular trafficking processes. Expressed in a variety of tissues RAB22A plays an important role in the regulation of endocytic pathways ensuring the proper sorting and trafficking of membrane proteins and lipids.
