FBXO16 also known as F-box only protein 16 is a component of the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. It plays a role in targeting proteins for ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation. The molecular mass of FBXO16 is approximately 45 kDa. This protein is expressed in various tissues with significant levels observed in the brain and reproductive organs.
