SLAIN2 also known as SLAIN motif-containing protein 2 is a microtubule-associated protein with an approximate mass of 58 kDa. It localizes predominantly in the cytoplasm. SLAIN2 binds to microtubules directly and regulates their dynamics by influencing polymerization and depolymerization processes. It participates actively in controlling microtubule stability and cellular organization. Expression of SLAIN2 is widely observed across different tissues without restriction to a particular cell type.
