NEDD4-2 also known as NEDD4L is a HECT domain-containing ubiquitin E3 ligase with a mass of approximately 120 kDa. It is expressed in various tissues especially in the kidney lung and colon. NEDD4-2 is involved in tagging proteins with ubiquitin marking them for degradation via the proteasome pathway.
