LASS3 also known as Ceramide Synthase 3 or CERS3 is a protein that catalyzes the synthesis of ceramides essential components of lipid metabolism. It exhibits a molecular mass of approximately 45 kDa. LASS3 is expressed in various tissues but shows a higher expression in the skin indicating a potential role in dermatological functions.
