The ribosomal protein L28 (RPL28) also known as 60S ribosomal protein L28 plays a mechanical role in the formation of ribosomes which are essential for protein synthesis. RPL28 forms part of the large 60S subunit of the ribosome. This protein has a molecular mass of approximately 15-17 kDa and is expressed in various tissues due to its fundamental role in cellular functions.
