SPAG7 also known as Sperm Associated Antigen 7 is a protein with an approximate mass of 26 kilodaltons. It is mainly expressed in the testis with additional expression noted in other tissues at lower levels. Mechanically SPAG7 functions in the regulation of cellular processes associated with spermatogenesis playing a role in the assembly and reorganization of microtubule structures.
Biological function summary
SPAG7 enhances the development and function of sperm cells contributing significantly to male fertility. The protein participates in microtubule-related activities and likely interacts with other proteins to perform its roles effectively.
