GSTT1 or Glutathione S-transferase theta-1 functions mechanically as an enzyme involved in detoxification. It catalyzes the conjugation of glutathione to a wide array of substrates assisting in the metabolism and elimination of toxic compounds. This protein is part of the glutathione S-transferase family and usually presents as a 26 kDa unit.
