The target 'LECT2' also known as leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 2 is a 16 kDa protein. It plays a role in immune response and signaling by acting as a chemotactic factor for neutrophils. LECT2 is a secreted protein primarily expressed in the liver and found in circulation in the bloodstream. It has been associated with acute-phase response and inflammation.
Biological function summary
LECT2 contributes to tissue regeneration liver function and modulation of immune responses. It is not known to be part of a larger protein complex but interacts with multiple receptor types on cell surfaces.
