Pancreatic Lipase also known as PTL or Lipase Pancreas is an enzyme with a molecular mass around 3000 daltons. It is important for the digestion of dietary fats and is expressed in the pancreas of several animals including the mouse and rat. The enzyme hydrolyzes triglycerides into monoglycerides and free fatty acids facilitating the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
