Dynorphin A also known as Dynorphin-1 or Dyn A is an opioid peptide that acts as a neurotransmitter. It is part of the endorphin enkephalin and dynorphin family of opioid peptides which play significant roles in the modulation of pain and emotion. Dynorphin A consists of 17 amino acids and has a mass of approximately 2 kDa.
