Nanos3 also known as NOS3 is a small RNA-binding protein with a molecular mass of approximately 22 kDa. Nanos3 plays an important role in the maintenance of germ cells. It is mainly expressed in the gonads particularly within primordial germ cells during early development. This expression is important for the formation and preservation of germ cell populations ensuring fertility and proper reproduction.
Biological function summary
