Product Description
CD80 is a 60 kD member of the immunoglobulin superfamily also known as B7-1, B7, and BB1. It is expressed on antigen presenting cells and activated T and B cells, and is a ligand for CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). CD80/CD28 interactions are important for T and B cell co-stimulation, while CD80/CD152 lead to the inhibition of T cell responses. The 3H5 antibody can block the co-stimulatory activity of CD80.

Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.5 µg per 106 cells in 100 µl volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Application Notes: Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation1-3, blocking of ligand binding1-3, and immunohistochemical staining of acetone-fixed frozen sections3. The LEAF™ purified antibody (Endotoxin <0.1 EU/µg, Azide-Free, 0.2 µm filtered) is recommended for functional assays (Cat. No. 200208).
