Filamin A is an actin binding protein which crosslinks actin filaments into an orthogonal network and helps anchor membrane glycoproteins to cytoskeleton. Filamin A is also important in modifying cell shape in cell migration by changing the cytoskeleton. Filamin A is involved in ciliogenesis, cell adhesion and in the development of blood vessels, and other organs. Diseases associated with Filamin A include Melnick-Needles syndrome, otopalatodigital syndrome, periventricular nodular heterotopias and frontometaphyseal dysplasia.

Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by western blotting. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.0625 - 1.0 µg/mL. For immunocytochemistry, a concentration range of 2.0 - 5.0 μg/mL is recommended. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Application Notes: Clone recognizes human and mouse Filamin A. Clone works well in ICC when cells are permeabilized with either Triton X-100 or methanol. Clone is not recommended for IP.
