Interestingly, in the breast cancer cells we detected the 170 kDa endogenous BRD8 protein, which was larger than its calculated 135 kDa molecular weight (MW) from its a.a. residues. The study found that with an anti‐HA tag antibody, we validated the expression of HA‐tagged full‐length BRD8 and four different BRD8 fragments expressed in HEK293T cells. The apparent MWs of these BRD8 full‐length and fragment proteins were also larger than their calculated MWs based on their a.a. residues.
