Tested Applications Positive WB detected in: mouse brain tissue, rat brain tissue Recommended dilution Western Blot (WB): WB : 1:1000-1:4000 Background Information AMIGO1 is a brain-enriched transmembrane immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily protein with six extracellular leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and a single immunoglobulin-like (Ig) domain (PMID: 21938721). It is widely expressed in the central nervous system (CNS), and can be found in neurons, astrocytes as well as oligodendrocytes. AMIGO1 acts as a homophilic adhesion molecule that induces outgrowth and fasciculation of neurites in central neurons (PMID: 12629050). It has been reported that AMIGO1 is a glycosylated protein, the apparent molecular weight (70-80 kDa) is much higher than the predicted molecular size of AMIGO1 (55 kDa) (PMID: 12629050; 21938721; 22056818).
