Recently, LATS1 has been identified as a central player of the emerging tumour suppressive Hippo signaling pathway. In this pathway, the MST1/2 kinase phosphorylates activates LATS1/2 which, together with its co-factor MOB1, subsequently phosphorylates and inhibits the YAP transcriptional factor by preventing them from translocating to the nucleus. The antibody also detects the phosphorylated at Thr1041 of the LATS2.
