Neural cell adhesion molecule 2 (NCAM2, also known as NCAM21) is a single-pass type I membrane protein that is highly expressed in the brain, which may play important roles in selective fasciculation and zone-to-zone projection of the primary olfactory axons or in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (PMID: 26611261).
