MYC has multiple isomers, and this antibody recognizes the phosphorylation of the 439 amino acid isomer (P01106-1, UniProt) at the 62 serine site. Posttranslational modifications that regulate MYC stability include phosphorylations at Ser62 and Thr58. Phosphorylation at Ser62, primarily by ERK, stabilizes MYC.
