These soft tissue homogenizing mixes come as a set of 50 individually pre-filled tubes that contain the amount of 1.4 mm ceramic beads for high-efficiency disruption of soft tissues generally, and they are recommended for samples such as biopsies, tissue punches, arteries, nerves, and veins. They feature polypropylene screw caps with synthetic EPDM O-rings, supporting sample volumes between 100 µL and 400 µL and withstand the force and motion involved in bead-beating as indicated.  The screw cap tubes help keep samples isolated within the tube during processing and are popular for those looking to maintain sample integrity in workflows such as PCR, as well as for analyte extraction such as RNA, DNA, proteins, and more from soft tissues.
They are verified compatible with the Omni Bead Ruptor bead mills, though they may be compatible with a wider range of bead mill homogenizers.
