These Light-style cartridges have a distinctive finned outer body and a reduced internal diameter, which results in an interstitial volume about one-third that of the corresponding Plus-style cartridge. This design allows you to elute fractions in a minimal volume to improve recoveries and reduce solvent consumption, a benefit especially for applications where samples are limited or where excessive dilution is a concern.

How Should I Store and Dispose of Used Sep-Pak Cartridges? Any cartridge stored in the original sealed pouch will remain stable for long periods of time. To store an unused cartridge in a sealed pouch, squeeze the air out of the pouch, then fold over the open end of the pouch twice. Seal with tape and store in a secure desiccator.
Used cartridges can be disposed of in accordance with the applicable government or local regulations. Sep-Pak cartridges should not be reused.
