Product Description
Monoclonal Antibody for studying Lag3 mouse. Validated for Flow Cytometry (Live). Highly specific and rigorously validated in-house, LAG3 (E3E9B) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (BSA and Azide Free) (CST #25537) is ready to ship. Product Usage Information This product is the carrier free version of product #62891. All data were generated using the same antibody clone in the standard formulation which contains BSA and glycerol. This formulation is ideal for use with technologies requiring specialized or custom antibody labeling, including fluorophores, metals, lanthanides, and oligonucleotides. It is not recommended for ChIP, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&Tag assays. If you require a carrier free formulation for chromatin profiling, please contact us . Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. BSA and Azide Free antibodies are quality control tested by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) to determine antibody integrity. Formulation Supplied in 1X PBS (10 mM Na 2 HPO 4 , 3 mM KCl, 2 mM KH 2 PO 4 , and 140 mM NaCl (pH 7.8)). BSA and Azide Free. For standard formulation of this product see product # 62891 Storage Store at -20°C. This product will freeze at -20°C so it is recommended to aliquot into single-use vials to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. A slight precipitate may be present and can be dissolved by gently vortexing. This will not interfere with antibody performance. Specificity / Sensitivity LAG3 (E3E9B) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (BSA and Azide Free) recognizes endogenous levels of total LAG3 protein. Species Reactivity: Mouse Source / Purification Monoclonal antibody is produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Gly60 of mouse LAG3 protein. Background Lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG3, CD223) is an immune checkpoint control protein that negatively regulates T cells and immune responses. A CD4-like member of the Ig superfamily, LAG3 contains an extracellular IgV and three IgC domains, a transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic region (1). LAG3 is primarily expressed by activated CD4 T cells, CD8 T cells, Tregs, and NK cells, where it's activated by MHC Class II molecules, its only known ligand. While it was initially shown to activate Treg cells (2), LAG3 can also inhibit CD8 T cells (3,4). LAG3 is often co-expressed with PD-1 on the surface of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, where the two proteins act independently to contribute to tumor-mediated immune suppression (4,5). Blockade of LAG3 is a promising strategy for neoplastic intervention (6).
