Two isoforms of human HNF4 exist, HNF4-alpha and HNF4-gamma, which are encoded by two separate genes HNF4A and HNF4G respectively (PMID: 7926813). HNF4-gamma has a lower transcription activation potential than HNF4-alpha. HNF4-gamma is expressed in kidney, gut, pancreas, and testis (PMID: 16945327). It has been reported to be involved in cancer progression (PMID: 23896584). This polyclonal antibody is raised against C-terminal 82 amino acids of human HNF4-gamma.
