Sartoclear® F&B Depth filter sheets are used for clarification and microbe-retentive filtration in the food and beverage industry. The sheets are manufactured from high grade, natural raw materials such as cellulose and diatomaceous earth and are available in various sizes.

Product Information
Sartoclear® F&B Depth filter sheets are developed for coarse and microbial reduction filtrations in the food & beverage industries. The filter sheets are made for use in standard filter presses. Sartoclear® F&B sheets are made of a mixture of cellulosic fibers and filter-aids such as diatomaceous earth and perlites. The open 3-dimensional matrix has a high capacity for a wide range of particles.
Total Throughput
The structure of the cellulose forms a three-dimensional matrix. The Sartoclear® F&B Depth filter sheets have a large void volume of up to 85%. These features ensure outstanding total throughput and thereby cost-effective filtration.
Protection
The positive Zeta potential of the Sartoclear® F&B Depth filter sheets strengthens the mechanical retention capacity and clarifying effect, allowing additional adsorption of minute, negatively charged particles and colloids. This ensures that downstream filters are effectively protected and also lowers overall costs of consumables.
Applications
The Sartoclear® F&B Depth filter sheets are especially developed for wine, beer, fruit juices and spirits applications.
Flexibility
Filter sheet systems can be optimally adapted to the flow rates required for each application by raising or lowering the number of sheets installed.

Usage Protocols:
Sterilization Procedures: The filtration system can be sterilized with steam of up to 134°C at a saturated steam pressure of 200 kPa | 29 Psi. Before applying steam to the filter pack it is important to loosen the tightened filter pack and slightly open all the vent and drain valves. In this way the steam penetration is optimized and steam shocks will be prevented.
