Ornithine aminotransferase also known as ornithine transaminase is an enzyme that facilitates the conversion of ornithine and α-ketoglutarate to glutamate semialdehyde and glutamate. This enzyme weighs around 49 kDa. It shows expression mainly in the liver kidney small intestine and retina.
