Human LOX1 ELISA Kit (ab212161) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of LOX1 protein in cell culture extracts, cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, serum, and tissue extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human LOX1 with NULL NULL sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. LOX1 is a receptor expressed on several cell types which mediate a variety of cellular processes. On vascular endothelial cell, LOX1 is involved in the internalization and degradation of oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein (oxLDL). In addition to this role, it is a receptor for HSP70 protein and is a part of antigen cross presentation in dendritic cells to native T-cells. It is also a receptor f advanced glycation end products, activated platelets, monocytes, apoptotic cells and Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
