Pro-GRP (31-98) also known as Progastrin-releasing peptide is a peptide with a mass of approximately 8 kDa. It serves as a precursor for gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP). It undergoes cleavage to form the active GRP peptide. GRP belongs to the bombesin-like peptide family and you can primarily find it expressed in neuroendocrine tissues particularly in the gastrointestinal tract and lungs.
