Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our
conjugation kits
for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar
Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar

PAX9 also known as paired box gene 9 is a transcription factor with a molecular mass of approximately 37 kDa. It belongs to the PAX family of proteins characterized by the presence of a paired box domain. Mechanically PAX9 plays a role in DNA binding and transcriptional regulation of target genes. It is expressed in developing teeth craniofacial regions limbs and parts of the neural crest. This expression pattern highlights PAX9’s involvement in early developmental processes.
Biological function summary
PAX9 contributes significantly to developmental patterning and organogenesis. It functions as a part of a transcription factor complex that coordinates the gene networks necessary for these processes. PAX9 interacts with other PAX family members and developmental regulators mediating the formation of structures such as teeth and skeletal elements. PAX9’s role in these processes ensures proper structural differentiation and morphogenesis during development.
Pathways
PAX9 plays an important role in the tooth development pathway and the Wnt signaling pathway. During tooth development it interacts with proteins like MSX1 and BMP4 guiding tooth patterning and morphogenesis. In the Wnt pathway PAX9 influences cell signaling pivotal for cell fate determination and embryonic development where it cooperates with Wnt proteins to modulate pathway-specific gene expression.
Mutations or dysregulation of PAX9 have been associated with conditions such as tooth agenesis and oral clefts. Tooth agenesis which involves missing teeth arises from disruptions in PAX9’s functionality during tooth development often involving MSX1 as well. Oral clefts such as cleft lip and palate also involve PAX9 interactions during craniofacial development. These associations emphasize PAX9's critical role in maintaining normal developmental functions and its impact on congenital anomalies.
