ARPC5L also known as Actin-Related Protein 2/3 Complex Subunit 5-Like is a smaller subunit of the ARP2/3 complex with a molecular mass around 16 kDa. This protein acts mechanically as an important regulator in the nucleation of new actin filaments aiding in the branching of the actin cytoskeleton.
