ADCK3 also known as AarF domain-containing kinase 3 or COQ8A is a protein kinase with an approximate mass of 68 kDa. It is largely expressed in the mitochondria which indicates its role in cellular energy processes. The human ADCK3 gene encodes this protein and it serves a critical function in the biosynthesis of coenzyme Q10 an essential component of the mitochondrial electron transport chain.
