Human Visfatin ELISA Kit (ab264623) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Visfatin protein in cell lysate and tissue extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human Visfatin with 80 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Visfatin, also known as nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase, is the key enzyme in the salvage pathway by which the cell converts nicotinamide to nicotinamide mononucleotide. Along with its enzymatic role, Visfatin is thought to play a pivotal role in B-cell maturation and cell signaling. This protein is highly conserved throughout mammals, subsequently, this kit cross-reacts with both mouse and rat.
