Product details:
The Goat Anti-Mouse IgG antibody (GAM) is covalently conjugated to 40 nm Gold Nanoparticles which have a unique protective coating that can withstand most extreme conditions (e.g. 2.5 M NaOH at 70°C for >1 hour). The irreversible attachment does not allow the desorption of the antibody, which is a major problem with products in which the antibody is only passively adsorbed to the metal.
To exchange the conjugated antibody into a different buffer specific to your application, centrifuge the conjugate in a microfuge at 9,000 x
6 minutes. Carefully remove the supernatant, gently tap the pellet and add your preferred buffer. It is important to avoid substances that have a very high affinity for gold (e.g. thiols).
If an incubation of Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (40nm Gold, 10 OD) with the target antibody is performed, do not centrifuge the gold complex after this stage (an antibody titration is recommended).
