SIN1 also known as MAPKAP1 or mTORC2 component is a protein with a mass of approximately 66 kDa. It is an essential part of the mTOR complex 2 (mTORC2) a component critical for controlling cell growth and metabolism. SIN1 is expressed in various tissues indicating its broad role in numerous cellular processes. This expression includes key sites like the liver heart and muscle tissues.
