Integrin beta 5 also known as integrin ß5 is a protein that plays an important role in cell adhesion and signal transduction. It is a component of the integrin family known to mediate interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix (ECM). This protein with a molecular mass of around 90 kDa is expressed in various tissues predominantly in epithelial cells.
