The METTL3 protein also known as methyltransferase like 3 plays an important role in the modification of RNA. It is a component of the N6-adenosine-methyltransferase complex and is responsible for introducing the m6A mark on RNA. The molecular weight of METTL3 is approximately 70 kDa.
